Thread Desktop: S3 Config (Cloudflare R2)

Connect your own Cloudflare R2 bucket to Thread Desktop

Use this flow when you want Thread Desktop to upload media to your own Cloudflare R2 bucket.

Thread Desktop steps

  1. Open Thread Desktop.
  2. Go to S3 Config in Settings.
  3. Choose Cloudflare R2.
  4. Enter your access key, secret key, endpoint, bucket name, and region.
  5. Test the connection and save.

R2 setup

Before configuring Thread Desktop, make sure you have:

  • a Cloudflare R2 bucket
  • access keys for that bucket
  • any required browser-facing CORS rules

Example allowed origins for the current naming direction:

  • https://thread.arkwright.solutions
  • https://threads.arkwright.solutions

After setup, new uploads can be served from your own bucket while Thread continues to manage the recording workflow.
